Our Club News Letter
Propnuts
The June 2 meeting was called to order at 7PM by President Bill Todd. We had a big crowd of 28 members with several new members, Tim and Jordan Newsome, Joe Harris and Shane Davidson. Welcome aboard guys!
Treasury Report Leonard Johns gave the following report: $ 2181.92 in the bank, a cash balance of $229.75, bills that were paid were $142.00 for building material and $248 for the food that was served at the fly-in.
Secretary Report Rod Neudecker read the last meeting minutes and they were accepted as read.
President's Report Bill Todd thanked the club for all of the work regarding the recent fly-in. He especially thanked Marty and T.J, Jim Sefert, Jack Cutchins and several others for the work. When flyers began to arrive, it was very apparent that a lot of work had been done. The field looked great, an R/C simulator was up and running, the food was cooking and ticket sales were being hustled for our raffle. Everyone had a great time. At the end of the day, many planes had flown, much food had been eaten, and our treasury was $347.00 richer due to the raffle ticket sales. We thank MIHABI for the trainer aircraft which was won by Stan Griffin from the
Old Business President Todd thanked all of the guys who painted the club storage shed.
New Business Jack Cutchins gave a report on the always-fabulous Joe Nall fly-in. Many of our members attended. Jack presented a slide show of the fly-in and this was displayed throughout the meeting. Jim Corry thanked Jerry Blankenship and Fred Cagney for purchasing and delivering a new 1/3 scale laser. The club voted to purchase 24 new club shirts and hats. They can be purchased by the club members at the field and they will be kept in the shed. To buy your outfit, read the instructions on the supply box. We are on the honor system so be sure to leave your money in the payment box. We would prefer to be paid in the form of a check, although cash will do. The sprinkler modification was discussed and Larry Kalata offered to use his trencher to dig the hole for the PVC pipe. The heli guys were to help Larry and they also will fix the table under the pavilion.

Tips and tricks Carl Harris and Alex will handle next month's topics.
General Info Leonard discussed AMA insurance regarding a damage and or liability claim. AMA is secondary insurance to your homeowners policy so be sure your homeowners will cover you. You should have already checked with your carrier about your R/C coverage before you have an incident.
IKE AWARD Fred Cagney ran away with the Ike award this meeting. Fred was flying his trusty old Cadet Senior a few weeks ago. He was taxiing out for a takeoff and thought the airway was clear. He took off and just after breaking ground, he clipped the edge of AIR FORCE ONE (President Todd's plane) which had just landed and was still rolling down the center of the runway. Both planes were slightly damaged. Bill gave Fred a Presidential Pardon, but the club gave Fred the IKE. You know what they say, if you ain't crashing, you ain't flying.
Next meeting Monday, July 7 at 7PM at the Crazy Buffet. See you there, Jim Corry.
